I love when it is 90 degrees at the end of September and I get to cling onto wearing shorts…or not. While some people are happy to keep the warm weather around as long as possible, the weather the past few weeks has been immensely disappointing to me.
But then a miracle happened. From Wednesday into Thursday, it became autumn overnight. I rejoiced when I saw the 70 degree temperature on my phone and threw on my new long-sleeve shirt with sloths on it that I have been waiting very impatiently to wear. What’s the best part? I was a little bit chilly.

A crisp breeze replaces the sticky humidity. Leaves litter the ground. The Susquehanna squirrels run around with a reborn sense of purpose as they stock up food for the winter.
This weekend I’m setting off on a quickly planned adventure, arriving back on campus approximately 15 minutes before my first class starts on Monday; that is, if I don’t have any travel delays. Four days later, I leave for a conference in Boston. The next two weeks are going to be an absolute whirlwind, passing as quickly as the autumn weather arrived.
